This weekend, MSU Law students and alumni gathered for a #ReInventLaw #LegalLean workshop with @JasonMoyse and @AronSolomon entitled "Legal Lean: How to Think and Act Like a Startup." Jayson and Aron, Canadian lawyers and entreprenuers, led presentations on lean processes, lean six sigma, and startup mentality. The workshop included activities for students to brainstorm their own startup ideas. Additional activities helped students determine what business problem their startup idea was intended to start and to develop the value of the startup.

While one of my business analytics courses kept me from participating in the entire workshop, I was honored to be able to join the afternoon session of the workshop and go out to a local restaurant with Jayson, Aron, and my MSU Law colleagues afterwards. Aron introduced me to a new book to add to my lean portfolio reading list: Lean Analytics by Alistair Croll and Ben Yoskovitz. It's already downloaded into my Kindle library. I am very excited to add this to my lean legal analytics journey.
